Privacy statement
How the NZ Doctors Directory handles your information.
What this is
The NZ Doctors Directory is a member-run contact directory for doctors working at Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora. It is run by a doctor at personal cost and is not an official Health NZ service.
What we collect
Your work email address (used to verify you work at Health NZ), and the profile details you choose to enter: your name, photo, hospital, specialty, level, coffee order, what you're happy to be contacted about, and any phone numbers you add. Everything except your email and name is optional.
Who can see it
Only verified members — people who have confirmed an approved Health NZ email address — can see the directory. Nothing is public or visible to search engines. Be aware that members can save your contact details to their own phone (that copy is on their device and outside the directory's control), so only add numbers you're happy for colleagues to have.
What it's used for
Helping colleagues find and contact each other — nothing else. Your information is never sold, shared outside the membership, or used for advertising.
Where it's stored
Data is stored securely with Supabase, a cloud database provider. Profile photos live in private storage that only signed-in members can access.
Your choices
You can edit any part of your profile at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and all your information from the Profile page. Admins can also remove profiles of people who have left Health NZ. If you have any other questions or requests about your information, contact the directory administrator.
